Reverend Bruce V. Underhill was born into a military family. Bruce was born at Great Lakes Naval Center. He has lived across the United States and also in France and Germany. Bruce accepted Christ as a young Junior High student at a church camp in Rock Island, Tennessee. He then followed in baptism at the local river.  Bruce pursued his calling to the ministry and graduated from Warner Southern, now Warner University. He majored in Church Ministries and minored in Biblical Studies.

He has served in Florida and North Carolina in Youth and Christian Education ministries where he was ordained and credentialed.  From there he served in Kansas as the lead pastor for 5 years.

 

He then served in Missouri for the next 21 years, in 3 different congregations. While in Missouri, Bruce served bi-vocationally in Hospice, as a chaplain and bereavement counselor for many years, and as a crisis stabilization counselor for a brief time.

Bruce and his wife, Judy will celebrate 46 years of marriage in June. They have one son, Willis. Willis and his wife, Stephanie have 3 sons. Bruce loves to garden, read and can't wait to start fishing. His favorite sport is basketball and his team has been the Duke Blue Devils since 1976. Judy is a homemaker and loves to craft and design custom cards and spend time with the ladies in the church.  She also is an avid fisherman, and can definitely hold her own on the river or in a boat on the lake.
